Terms of Service

Effective October 12, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and MOA Top Shot ("we", "us"), the operator of the MOA Top Shot app (the "App"). By creating an account or using the App you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Shooting Safety Guidelines and our Community & Photo Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. What the App is (and is not)

MOA Top Shot is software for organizing and scoring shooting competitions and leagues: rosters, stations, scorecards, teams and leaderboards.

We do not own, operate, supervise, insure or inspect any range, club, match, league or event, and we do not employ or vet organizers, range officers, scorers or shooters. Events listed in the App are run entirely by their organizers, who are responsible for the venue, safety briefings, range rules, waivers, insurance, legal compliance, eligibility, fees and results.

The App does not sell, transfer or facilitate the sale of firearms, ammunition or accessories, and must not be used for that purpose.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms for you and supervise your use of the App and your participation in any shooting activity.
  • Organizers who add a shooter without an account ("guest shooter") confirm they have that person's permission (and, for a minor, a parent or guardian's permission) to add their name and any contact details.
  • You sign in with Apple or Google. Keep your device and sign-in secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
  • Give accurate information. Do not impersonate anyone.

3. Organizers

If you create or run an event in the App, you are solely responsible for it, including: following all applicable laws and range rules; providing safety briefings and qualified range officers; collecting any waivers or releases you require; handling entry fees and refunds (payments happen outside the App, directly between shooters and organizers); keeping team access codes private; and the accuracy of stations, rules, scores and results.

You may only enter personal information about others (names, emails, phone numbers) that you are allowed to share, and only to run your event.

4. Scores and results

Scores are entered by people, can be entered offline and synced later, and may contain mistakes. Leaderboards and totals are provided for convenience. The organizer's decision on scores, ties, shoot-offs, prizes and disputes is final; we do not resolve competition disputes.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of what you add (names, photos, event details, scores). You give us a license to store, display and process it to operate the App for you and for the people in your events. Content must follow our Community & Photo Guidelines. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these Terms.

6. Acceptable use

  • No unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexual, violent or threatening content.
  • No promoting or arranging the sale or transfer of firearms or ammunition.
  • No attempts to access accounts, events or data you are not allowed to, to share or guess team access codes, or to interfere with the App.
  • Do not use the App while handling a firearm or on the firing line. See the Shooting Safety Guidelines.

7. Shooting sports involve serious risk

Shooting sports involve the risk of serious injury, hearing loss, permanent disability and death, to you and to others. Participation in any event is voluntary and at your own risk, and is governed by the organizer, the range and the law, not by the App. Nothing in the App is safety, legal or firearms training advice.

8. Paid features

Some organizer features may require a paid subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Billing, renewal and refunds are handled by those stores under their terms.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including availability, accuracy of scores or results, or fitness for a particular purpose. Service may be interrupted, for example when you have no signal at the range.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, MOA Top Shot is not liable for any injury, death, property damage, or indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from events, ranges, firearms, other users, or your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim about the App is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold harmless MOA Top Shot from claims arising from your events, your conduct, your content, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Ending your account

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time in Settings (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end accounts that break these Terms or put others at risk.

13. Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms; if the change is material we will ask you to accept the new version in the App. These Terms are governed by the laws of Texas, USA, and disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located there, except where the law where you live says otherwise.

Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and have no responsibility for the App or its content.
